Production Level 1
Summary: Converts raw materials and assembles component parts into finished goods as directed by the department supervisor or designate by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Adheres to the Atlas Box safety and quality policies at all times.*
2. Follows established ISO work instructions as applicable.*
3. Completes assigned manufacturing tasks using specified machinery and equipment in allotted time.*
4. Oversees materials to minimize scrap and waste.*
5. Processes scrap material for recycling.*
6. Maintains work area and equipment according to established 5S standards at all times.*
7. Operates machinery and equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines.*
8. Reports safety and quality issues along with any maintenance needs to supervisor.*
9. Participate in established cross training initiatives in other areas to support business goals and objectives.*
10. Operates pallet jack or fork lift to move product.*

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nail gun (assembly)
Staple gun (assembly and corrugated)

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles like dust or sawdust. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
