Summary:
Responsible for managing the
warehouse facility, the efforts of all warehouse personnel,
product movement, processes and systems to insure overall
inventory accuracy and support same day / next day philosophies
by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities:

Manages
the efforts of warehouse personnel responsible for
receiving, storing, counting and retrieving inventory to
support manufacturing and distribution.*
Assists
in the preparation of departmental budgets and capital
spending forecasts.*
Establishes work practices, ISO Operating Procedures and
Work Instructions to improve overall performance, insure
inventory accuracy, streamline handling, maximize
productivity and promote efficient material flow and
space utilization.*
Insures
that all inventory related transactions are recorded in
MAS500 as soon as they occur to maintain an accurate
perpetual inventory.*
Oversees and coordinates physical inventories and cycle
counts to provide the organization with both accurate
counts and financial valuation.
Utilizes Business Insights to analyze available data and
takes appropriate action to resolve potential issues.*
Coordinates with order processing, manufacturing,
quality and distribution groups to process pick tickets,
department request forms, transfers, returns, receipts,
inspections, etc. to support same day / next day
activities.*
Provides planning, direction and coordination for all
warehouse related activities while achieving optimum use
of workers, equipment, materials and facilities.*
Develops a
warehousing team that supports other departments efforts to
provide excellent customer satisfaction and differentiate
Atlas from its competitors.*
Remains
current on new equipment and material handling techniques to
enhance the warehousing capabilities.
Insure that
the warehouse facility is maintained according to
established 5S Expectations and Safety Guidelines.
Performs
other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from
four-year college or university and/or five to eight years
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to
write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to
questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the
general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute
rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning
Ability:
Ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with
several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer
Skills:
To perform this job
successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft
Word; Microsoft Excel; MAS 500; Cape; Microsoft Internet
Explorer.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises up to 15
employees in the Warehouse Department. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies
and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing,
hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.
